Yes, believe it or not, the new Alder Lake lineup of laptops and desktops. are going to deliver 2x the performance of the Rocket Lake models.

Not just that, they also consume less power which means your devices will run longer without compromising on performance (no charger? No problem).

Tom, from Moore’s Law, is Dead has been releasing updates on the latest developments for almost a couple of years now via his YouTube channel.

He suggests this big improvement in performance is down to the use Golder Cove high power cores that deliver up to 20% improved single-thread performance and the low-performance Gracemount cores that now have better instruction sets.

In simpler terms, you will now see 4 more compact cores in place of the large, bulky core that deliver better performance per watt. The processor

Furthermore, there’s also the LGA 1700 socket which is a welcome addition.

There are 6 lineups that will be equipped with this processor. But hey, there’s some time to go before you can get your hands on any of those. That’s because these desktops and laptops are only scheduled to be launched during the holidays in 2022.
