This fall, Microsoft is expected to release a number of Surface-branded devices. They just unveiled Windows 11 which is expected to be available to the public this fall.
Not all Windows 10 devices will be able to support Windows 11. This means that some Windows users will be back on the shopping scene for new PCs that can support this new OS upgrade.
OS upgrades aside, Windows is rumored that it will drop a new Surface laptop this fall.
However, this will not be the expected Surface Book 4. It is rumored that the new device will be called Surface Laptop Studio.
The name Surface Book will be a thing of the past as it may not apply to the new design that Microsoft is about to debut.
Names like Surface Laptop Pro and Surface Laptop Studio make more sense and this is the line of names that we expect to continue seeing replacing the Surface Book line.
The Surface Laptop Studio, unlike its predecessors the Surface Notebooks, won’t have a detachable screen.
Moreso, it will only feature Intel U series processors. These max out at only 4 cores.
The Studio laptop will also feature a 14-inch display with higher refresh rates coupled with a large trackpad.
The laptop is also expected to have 8Gb to 32GB of RAM and 256GB-1TB SSD storage.
All said it is not yet certain exactly what is on offer from Microsoft.
There are even no confirmations yet on the name Surface Laptop Studio and whether this will actually be the final name that the laptop will go by.
But as is the norm with Microsoft, we expect that this fall brings a new goodie from their stores, and hopefully, it will be this new Surface Laptop Studio.
